TAMPA – The Tampa Alumni Guide Right Foundation and the Tampa Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. continue to make this a December to remember for many in the Tampa Bay Community.
The Foundation and Chapter, with the help of organizations within the Tampa Bay community,
gave turkeys to families in the Silver Oaks Apartments as well as turkeys and toys to the
residents of Progress Village on Saturday.
No family should want for food and every child should be able to get a gift, especially during the holiday season. This initiative is part of the Chapter’s ‘December of Giving’ aimed at getting the community to help others in the community that are less fortunate.
Walmart, Metropolitan Ministries, The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, Victory A.M.E.
Church and the Grow My Giving organization all played vital roles in Saturday’s giveaway, either by donating food or locating families that were in need.
The month is not over for Tampa Alumni as members from the organization will donate their
time on Christmas Eve to volunteer at Metropolitan Ministries.
