Super Bowl Weekend: Pat Nix Does it Again

Updated: Feb 20, 2021

For decades a well known promoter out of Orlando Florida has been pulling off some of the classiest Sports weekend events catering to an upscale African American audience. Known for his Super Bowl parties and All Star Weekend events, FAMU graduate, Pat Nix of Nixclusive has been producing million dollar weekend events for more than a score. Pat Nix began advertising with N-Touch News annually with his Florida Classic and FAMU homecoming events more than 20 years ago. Since our motto is “we support those who support us” I have been actively supporting Pat Nix ever since.

With the pandemic at hand finding an open outside venue was top priority for promoters hoping to cash in on Super Bowl weekend. Knowing this, I called my favorite promoter, Pat and told him about the Courtyard @ 5508. Pat Nix drove over the next day, loved the courtyard and secured it immediately. With a catalog of great promoters, Pat chose the best ones to team with to bring his vision into fruition.

In Spite of Covid 19, Superbowl weekend brought out fans from all across the country. Nixclusive kicked off with a free sneak peek on Thursday evening but online registration was required. Giant Tents, and private cabanas were set up with couches and lighting creating a sensual relaxing ambiance throughout the courtyard. Professional bottle and hookahs service made everyone feel like a VIP.

Friday night was Cafe De Sol, an all R&B affair with a live performance by Tank.

“I was totally impressed with the set up, Tank had a good performance and to have my college DJ Bo Weezy made this the best birthday party ever,” stated FAMU alumni and educator Jamon Cox (who was celebrating his 40th birthday)

“Saturday was the Day luxe party and Saturday night Carpe Diem which continued into the wee hours of the morning. Game day Sunday was just as entertaining. Beautiful people came from everywhere to enjoy the game and camaraderie together with masks.

Thank you Pat Nix on providing a beautiful, safe space to enjoy ourselves and congratulations you did an amazing job!
