Everybody has a favorite teacher, administrator or principal from their high school years and if you went to Hamilton High School then you know the beloved Coach Hancock was just about everyone's.

Coach Hancock has spanned decades sharing his wisdom and generosity with generations of students at Hamilton High School. Always well groomed and sporting the latest convertible he was idolized by many. Coach has been an example and inspiration to those with and without fathers in their homes, whether they needed someone to lean on while traveling through life's vicissitudes or simply by being a clear example of how a man should carry himself. Coach Hancock emphasized the value of education and encouraged us all to attend college. On Saturday, a birthday party was held in his honor hosted by Hamiltonians; Robert Newman Jr. and Marion "Mishay" Turner Crenshaw (the former Miss Black Memphis 1977) at the Prohibition Lounge in Memphis, Tennessee. Happy Birthday Coach!!! See you at your 90th!
Respectfully,
Daryl Johnson, President, Hamilton High Class of 1974
